A mixed bag this year - we'd planned an exciting walk up over Catstye Cam, Swirral Edge, Helvellyn and back down Striding Edge. The local weather forecast and would-be experts all agreed on fine weather but they'd got it hopelessly wrong and we couldn't see a thing from the tops. So we had to take a safer but much longer way round via Grisedale, which seemed to go on for ever and left everyone feeling knackered.
